Finance Assistant - Join Our Team

Hourly Rate: 13.00 - 13.75
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: Flexible - 16 to 24 hrs per week
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Whitehaven

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in finance or accounts who is looking to contribute to a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Log and manage supplier and invoice queries efficiently.
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Maintain planning and subcontractor tracking sheets.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve finance-related queries.
  • Manage the invoice email account.
  • Support the finance team with various accounting tasks and provide cover when needed.

Skills & Experience (Desirable)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Sage.
  • Familiarity with Causeway (training provided).
  • Previous experience in an accounts or finance role.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of CIS and Domestic Reverse Charge VAT.
