Pertemps is working on behalf of our client to recruit a Finance Assistant to join a busy and friendly finance team in Plymouth.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, spotting errors before they become problems, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. If you're someone who takes pride in getting the details right, this role could be the perfect fit.

Location: Plymouth, Devon

Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 08:45am – 17:30pm

Type: Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent

Salary: Competitive Salary + Benefits

What you’ll be doing as the Finance Assistant:
  1. Helping with daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reconciliations across in-store and online sales
  2. Investigating mismatches and helping resolve any issues with payments or figures
  3. Supporting the reconciliation of card payments and online transactions
  4. Raising sales invoices and keeping accurate financial records
  5. Helping manage outstanding debts and keeping on top of credit control
  6. Suggesting ways to improve processes and making them more efficient
What we’re looking for:
  • Previous experience in finance or credit control
  • Comfortable using Excel and good with numbers
  • Organised and thorough with a sharp eye for detail
  • Able to manage deadlines and work well with others
  • AAT-qualified or working towards it (desirable)
  • Experience in retail or multi-channel finance would be a bonus
