Finance Assistant

Norwich (with on-site parking)

Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm (flexible for the right candidate)

A new opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join an expanding business based in Norwich. This is a fantastic role for someone looking to join a friendly, collaborative office environment within a larger organisation that operates across multiple sites in Norfolk.

Working as part of a small office and training team, you will support the Accounts Department with a broad range of responsibilities. This position is ideal for someone with strong Excel skills and a desire to grow within a supportive business.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain purchase ledger and reconcile supplier statements
  • Process and post sales invoices
  • Review and manage debtors and creditors
  • Generate monthly statements and reports
  • Process expense claims and company credit card statements
  • Perform data entry and bank reconciliations
  • Consolidate multi-site accounts and assist in producing reporting hierarchy
  • Liaise with external payroll provider
  • Identify areas to streamline and improve processes

Person Specification:

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience in an accounts or finance support role
  • Xero experience is a plus (but not essential)
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
