Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of relevant finance experience (ideally within the hotel or hospitality industry).
  • Strong working knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately manage and reconcile daily revenue and cash received.
  • Maintain and balance general ledgers using the PMS system.
  • Prepare and update weekly debt reports.
  • Assist with purchase ledger duties including invoice processing in Sage, reconciling statements, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Support the month-end process including accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset schedules.
  • Assist with year-end audit preparation.
  • Step in to support other finance team members when required.

About The Role

Are you passionate about numbers, a whiz with Excel, and an excellent communicator? If so, you could be the perfect addition to our Finance Team!

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our small but integral finance department, supporting the accurate and timely processing of financial data across purchase ledger, sales ledger, and cashbook functions. Your work will directly contribute to the financial integrity and success of our business.

This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their finance career—especially within a vibrant, hospitality-focused business where every transaction counts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately manage and reconcile daily revenue and cash received

What We're Looking For

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (Sage preferred)
  • Experience with PMS systems (preferred but not essential)
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities

Additional Information

  • Full-time role: 40 hours per week, 8am-4pm
  • Location: Based at Head Office, Moreton-in-Marsh
