The Finance Department is seeking to recruit a highly organised individual to support the Finance Manager and the wider team.

The Finance Department is seeking to recruit a highly organised individual to support the Finance Manager and the wider team. The main purpose of this role is to maintain the Purchase Ledgers for the School, BSSL, and Nursery, as well as other expenditure records, and to manage the credit control function for Bolton School fee collection.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring invoices are prepared and checked for accuracy, appropriate authorisation, and correct financial coding prior to processing. Duties include obtaining authorisation from budget holders, processing weekly and monthly BACS payment runs, filing invoices and payment records, and reconciling supplier statements.

In addition, the postholder will manage the school’s credit control function, monitoring billing accounts, proactively contacting parents regarding overdue payments, issuing monthly statements and reminder letters, and maintaining accurate records of all communication.

The successful candidate will have proven experience working in a Finance Department, with a strong background in recording, managing, and reporting financial information, and will be able to demonstrate competence in credit control processes.
