Finance Assistant – Liverpool

Are you a motivated and detail-focused Finance Assistant with experience in credit control, working closely with accounting management, and liaising with investment teams?

Looking for someone like you to support A growing finance function and contribute to the success of a collaborative, high-performing team.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone from a banking, pensions, investment, or broader financial services background who thrives on accuracy, communication, and cross-functional teamwork. This company has an amazing culture and great tenure in the business!!

Key Responsibilities:

· Credit Control – Proactively manage outstanding balances and maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure timely payments

· Transaction Processing – Accurately handle accounts payable and receivable

· Data Entry – Maintain financial records using the SAGE accounting system, ensuring data integrity

· Reconciliations – Perform daily bank reconciliations and assist in resolving discrepancies

· Invoice Management – Organise and scan invoices, receipts, and other financial documents for easy retrieval and audit readiness

· Expense Tracking – Monitor spending, ensuring alignment with budgets and company policies

· Communication – Liaise professionally with vendors, customers, and departments including investment and account management

· Compliance – Ensure all financial processes follow internal policies and regulatory requirements

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

· Background in financial services, banking, investments, or pensions

· Experience liaising with investment departments and accounting management

· Strong working knowledge of SAGE accounting software

· Advanced Excel skills – confident with pivot tables and large data sets

· A proactive attitude, eager to get involved and pick up new systems quickly

· Excellent communication and organisational skills

· A meticulous eye for detail and a strong sense of accountability

Monday – Friday 9AM - 5PM Office-Based Role
