We are delighted to be recruiting for an exciting temp-perm opportunity for a highly reputable Public Sector organisation.

Finance Assistant

Duration: Initial 3-6 month contract into a permanent contract

Location: North Leicester – fully office based

Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday

Rate: £16.50 hourly via Umbrella (inclusive of holiday pay) - £25,000 permanent salary equivalent

Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices: Ensure accurate and timely invoice processing, including verification, approvals, and payment, while resolving any discrepancies with staff and suppliers.
  • Raise invoices and chase debts: Prepare and issue invoices, track outstanding payments, and follow up on overdue accounts to maintain positive cash flow.
  • Handle supplier payment queries: Address supplier inquiries, resolve payment issues, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain strong supplier relationships.

Skills/Experience:

  • Demonstrable finance experience – 12 months minimum.
  • Strong finance system skills.
  • Education Sector experience is preferred.
