Job description

Marks Sattin is delighted to be working with a growing manufacturing business based in Liversedge, currently looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their small but dynamic finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career in a supportive environment, with full study support on offer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts pack
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review and post monthly accruals and prepayments
  • Post month-end journals including depreciation, stock movements, and internal recharges
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory, including reporting
  • Process supplier invoices, payments, and purchase orders
  • Support the maintenance of costing records for raw materials and finished goods
  • Process and monitor employee expenses
  • Assist with VAT return preparation
  • Perform cashbook postings and bank reconciliations
  • Produce daily cashflow reporting
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team

About You:

  • Part-qualified AAT (or similar) - study support available
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive team player with the ability to work independently
  • Ambitious and eager to grow within a fast-paced, evolving business
