Job summary

Mackie Myers Ltd in Greater London is seeking a bright Finance Assistant to join our growing finance team. You will support day-to-day transactional finance duties and gain exposure to a broad range of accounting tasks as you take on more responsibility.

Working closely with the team, you will raise invoices, manage sales ledger, assist with VAT, expenses, payroll support, and bank reconciliations while developing strong financial fundamentals and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable.
• Exposure to bank reconciliations.
• Good understanding of finance fundamentals and transactional accounting.
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Filters.
• Experience using accounting software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Raising invoices and supporting sales ledger activities
• Setting up new customer accounts and resolving customer queries
• Assisting with quarterly VAT returns and VAT administration
• Processing employee expenses and company credit card claims
• Supporting monthly payroll and pension administration
• Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with reporting and general finance administration
• Providing ad hoc support to the wider finance team as required
