Finance Assistant - Vertas Group Limited
Friars Bridge Road, Ipswich
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 8am-6pm
Salary up to £24,000 DOE per annum

Are you looking for your first role in Finance? We have an exciting opportunity for Finance Assistant to join our central finance team based in Ipswich.

As our Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, an eye for precision, and a commitment to accuracy.

Having a background in finance isn't essential, being a great communicator and a willingness to learn is key for us. There is lots of opportunity for development to kickstart and excel your career in finance, once your probationary period is complete, we will be happy to fund towards your AATs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage contractual income processes in the system ensuring accurate billing schedules and recurring billing data are maintained

  • Ensure customer price uplifts are applied accurately and on-time, in line with contractual information and milestones

  • Review variable billing workflows for completeness and work with operations to resolve and complete as needed
  • Manage contractual income processes in the system ensuring accurate billing schedules and recurring billing data are maintained
  • Apply and maintain data and customer group structure to ensure automated billing processes are efficient and 'right first time'
  • Support the Credit Control team in resolving customer queries, provide copy invoices/credit notes and file credit applications
  • Maintain and account for multi element revenue allocations
  • Maintain the document storage in line with the Group strategy and policy for contracts
  • Report on billing activity with clear and reliable data
