As a Finance Assistant you'll play a crucial role in ensuring financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll handle key accounts payable tasks, support month-end processes, and liaise with multiple departments to ensure financial accuracy across the board.

Job Title: Finance Assistant

Salary: 26,000 - 28,000

Location: Reading, easy to get to on public transport

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records
  • Process supplier and subcontractor invoices, ensuring timely payments
  • Liaise with procurement to manage invoice approvals
  • Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assist in preparing payment run files and support bank uploads
  • Handle supplier queries and support month-end close
  • Monitor and manage overhead expenses against budget
  • Review and validate employee expense submissions
  • Maintain finance documentation for audit and compliance purposes
  • Provide general admin support, including travel bookings and vehicle servicing arrangements
