Finance Assistant

Location: Colnbrook
Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
Reporting to: Head of Finance

About the Company

Our client is a global logistics provider specialising in E-Commerce, Express Courier, Cargo Services, and One-Stop Logistics Solutions. They support the transit of international imports and exports with a strong focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.

We are now seeking a motivated Finance Assistant to join their Finance Department and play a key role in supporting the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

The Role

As Finance Assistant, you’ll support with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and management reporting. You’ll help ensure all financial processes run efficiently and meet month-end deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing and uploading sales invoices into Sage with correct coding
  • Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments
  • Allocating customer and supplier receipts
  • Monthly reconciliations (bank, debtors, creditors, and operating systems)
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation
  • Ad hoc finance and administrative duties
About You

We’re looking for someone confident, detail-oriented, and proactive who can work independently while being part of a supportive team.

Essential Skills:
  • Minimum GCSE (A–C) in Maths & English (or equivalent)
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable:
  • 2+ years in a finance role
  • Experience using Sage and Microsoft Business Central
  • Previous logistics or industry experience
