Job summary
A finance recruitment agency seeks a Purchase & Sales Ledger Finance Assistant to manage supplier and customer accounts. The role requires at least 2 years of ledger experience and proficiency in Sage 50. Responsibilities include processing invoices, managing payments, and maintaining records. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail. This is a temporary position based in Droitwich.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in purchase and/or sales ledger roles.
- Proven experience using Sage 50 accounting software.
- Strong understanding of ledger processes and BACS payments.
Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices using Sage 50 with three-way matching.
- Manage BACS payment runs and supplier reconciliations.
- Resolve invoice queries and maintain supplier master data.
- Generate customer invoices and process payments.
- Manage debt collection and chase overdue accounts.
- Perform customer reconciliations and credit control.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join our client's finance team, managing both purchase and sales ledger functions. The successful candidate will ensure accurate processing of supplier invoices and customer accounts while maintaining strong relationships with both suppliers and customers.
Key Responsibilities -Finance Assistant
Purchase Ledger
- Process supplier invoices using Sage 50 with three-way matching
- Manage BACS payment runs and supplier reconciliations
- Resolve invoice queries and maintain supplier master data
Sales Ledger
- Generate customer invoices and process payments
- Manage debt collection and chase overdue accounts
- Perform customer reconciliations and credit control
General Finance Support
- Assist with month-end procedures and prepare aged reports
- Support audit requirements and maintain accurate filing systems

Experience & Qualifications

- Proven experience using Sage 50 accounting software (essential)
