First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Finance Assistant on behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts payable function, including paying outstanding debts, contacting suppliers, and maintaining communication records.
- Resolve supplier queries efficiently to minimize late payments.
- Reduce aged balances proactively and find solutions to non-payment issues.
- Support monthly payroll for 270 staff members and related activities.
- Work comfortably with Sage 50 accounts & payroll software.
- Liaise with staff and partners to resolve client queries.
- Assist with other finance team tasks, such as processing credit card payments, analyzing overhead expenditures, and setting up new staff accounts.
- Provide cover for posting receipts and bank reconciliations during holiday periods.
- Perform other finance duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with Sage 50 accounts & payroll.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- At least three years of relevant work experience.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills within a finance environment.
