A reputable finance company in Castleford is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant. You will be responsible for processing customer invoices, ensuring accuracy in billing, and maintaining effective communication with operations. The ideal candidate should have a background in accounting, strong Excel skills, and a keen eye for detail. This full-time position offers consistent working hours from Monday to Friday.
Finance Assistant (Temp) – Castleford
Our client is a well-established company based in Castleford, due to continued growth and expansion they are now looking to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant to join their existing team.
Main responsibilities:
• Actively chase Application for Payments
• Liaise with Operations to ensure all invoice accruals are kept to a minimum and invoiced to client within agreed timescales.
• Ensure all invoices have the correct PO number
• Processing of all customer invoicing.
• To ensure new customers invoice process is adopted correctly.
• Raising consolidated invoices and AFP’s for multiple customers.
• Identifying errors which have led to incorrect billing and investigating anomalies.
Skills Required:
• Previous experience within accounting / billing
• Experience within Sales Ledger & Invoice Processing
• Good organisation and time management skills
• High attention to detail and an ability to plan, prioritise and adapt
• Excellent IT, especially Excel skills
Hours: Monday – Friday – 8am – 5pm with one hour lunch
