Salary: £25,000 - £29,000

About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support our busy finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong interest in finance to grow their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day finance operations including purchase and sales ledger processing
• Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts
• Support credit control and chase outstanding payments
• Help prepare monthly financial reports and journals
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist in audits
• Process employee expenses and petty cash claims
• Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (desirable but not essential)
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and a team-player mindset

Desirable:

• AAT qualification or currently studying towards it
• Experience working in a fast-paced finance environment
