Job description

Grafton Banks Finance are working with a growing commercial company with offices on the outskirts of Brighton, to recruit a Trainee Finance Assistant on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting into the Finance Manager and working within a small friendly finance team you will be responsible for supporting with smooth running of the company’s finances and reporting. The ideal candidate will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.

Duties And Responsibilities Will Include

  • Posting of invoices
  • Process all expenses
  • Process all payments
  • Dealing with all suppliers on queries
  • Supplier accounts reconciliations
  • Daily Cashflow and reporting
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Petty cash management and reconciliations
  • Ad hoc tasks to support the credit controller

The successful candidate will be either studying towards AAT Qualifications or a Graduate looking to further develop their career within Accountancy and Finance. You will need to have strong IT skills including Excel and excellent communication skills. You will need to be able to drive to get to the office location. This role is working hybrid post the training programme. Applicants available within 1 months’ notice will take preference.
