Finance Assistant
Salary: £25,000 to £28,000 FTE (paid hourly)
Location: Bradford
Contract Type: 6–8 Week Contract

Company Overview:
A well-established manufacturing business is looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to support the finance function during a busy operational period. This is a full-time, on-site role offering a varied workload within a supportive team environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Acting as Finance Assistant within the transactional team, covering a broad range of duties
  2. Processing purchase ledger invoices and reconciling supplier statements
  3. Managing sales ledger, including invoice generation and payment allocation
  4. Carrying out credit control tasks, including customer communication and debt chasing
  5. Supporting payroll processing from start to finish
  6. Handling general finance administration and assisting the wider team as needed

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a Finance Assistant or similar finance support role
  2. Strong payroll experience is essential
  3. Comfortable working across purchase ledger, sales ledger, and credit control
  4. High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced setting
  5. Confident using Microsoft Excel and finance software systems
