Your new company

Based in Bellshill, our client is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm (and flexibility can be offered with start and finish times). Due to the location of the organisation, applicants should have access to their own transport.


Your new role

Working as part of a team of 4 and reporting to the Finance Manager, you will undertake a range of duties. The IT system used is Sage.Your tasks will include:

  • bank reconciliations
  • allocations
  • raising sales invoices
  • processing payments
  • processing expenses
  • journals
  • processing sub-contractor payments
  • processing petty cash
  • ad hoc support within the finance function


What you'll need to succeed

You will be experienced in a similar role, but training will be provided in areas in which you are less experienced. Therefore, a positive attitude to learning is essential.You will have a team-player attitude and will also be able to work well independently. You will have professional and personable communication skills as you will liaise with management, site staff and colleagues on a daily basis via telephone, email and face to face. Building relationships with your colleagues is key.Sage experience would be an advantage but not essential.
