Finance Assistant (Temporary)

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Approximately 12 weeks (with potential extension for the right candidate)
Hours: 29 hours per week (flexible – 4 full days or 5 shorter days)
Location: Bath City Centre – Hybrid Working
Hourly Rate: £12.83 – £13.56

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a busy team on a temporary basis. The role is ideal for someone with strong financial administration experience who is confident working both independently and collaboratively. There is potential for this role to be extended depending on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process supplier invoices and staff expense claims using Agresso
  2. Communicate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies
  3. Liaise with internal departments to ensure accurate financial processing
  4. Support additional finance functions including processing online travel claims and preparing weekly BACS cheque runs
  5. Maintain accurate records and ensure all payment documentation is retained appropriately
Skills & Experience Required:
  1. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  2. Previous experience in a finance or accounts department
  3. Strong customer service and communication skills
  4. Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
  5. Experience using Agresso (desirable)
