Job summary

RSK Group is recruiting a Finance Apprentice for the Central Accounting Services Team in Helsby. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a study day each week, supporting transactional accounting, period-end close and compliance reporting across UK and Europe.

Training will cover various finance and admin tasks, with increasing independence in the first year. You will learn to process supplier invoices, expenses, supplier requests, payments, and VAT reclaim.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4/C or above, including English and Maths.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and employee expenses onto the purchase ledger system.
• Check expense receipts against policy and identify VAT to reclaim per HMRC guidelines.
• Process new supplier requests on FocalPoint.
• Deal with supplier payments and queries via email and phone.
• Deal with internal payment requests and general queries via email/Teams/phone.
• Verify supplier bank details over the phone.
• Weekly supplier and expense payments.
