Job summary

Sudlows Group Limited in the United Kingdom is offering an Assistant Accountant apprenticeship (Level 3) with The Growth Company. You will support the Finance department and learn through hands-on experience in daily accounting tasks.

The role includes bank reconciliations, posting, and ledger management, with training toward the AAT qualification. The program provides full training and progression within the company.

Qualifications

• GCSE English (A*-C/9-4) and GCSE Maths (A*-C/9-4) are essential.
• AAT Level 2 in Accounting is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and IT skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the Management Accountants
• Daily bank reconciliations including posting and allocation of petty cash
• Transaction processing using Sage Line 200 and Contract Costing
• Coordinate and help to manage the accounting process and its integration with other company processes and procedures
• Manage sales and purchase ledgers
• Create and maintain spreadsheets
• Assist with invoice and subcontractor queries
• Create new documents and innovate ways of working
• Provide administrative assistance
• Deal with telephone calls including customer and supplier queries
