Job Title - Finance Apprentice

Hours of Work - Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch break

Location: Shrewsbury, SY4 4RR

The Dunstall Holdings Group contains two business streams which are involved in agricultural and industrial applications. About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring finance professional to gain hands-on experience while studying towards a Level 2 qualification. The successful candidate will support the finance team across a broad range of responsibilities including processing purchase and sales invoices, handling daily bank transactions, assisting with nominal journals, and contributing to month-end accounts and stock count processes. You will gain exposure to a variety of accounting software from Sage to bespoke platforms and build commercial insight across multiple industries including motor, agriculture, and manufacturing. This role offers a strong foundation for anyone looking to develop a well-rounded finance career.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Assisting with the inputting and processing of purchase invoices
  • Assisting with the inputting and processing of sales invoices
  • Processing of daily bank transactions
  • Processing of nominal journals
  • Assisting with the month end accounts process along with helping to analyse business performance
  • Assisting with the completion of stock counts
  • Filing of invoices and other documents

Candidate Requirements

  • Genuine interest in finance and a desire to build a long-term career in accounting
  • Willingness to study towards a Level 3 AAT qualification
  • Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and general IT confidence
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn from a supportive team
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade 4 (C) or above
