Job Description:

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for a Finance & Customs Administrator to join one of our clients on a temporary to permanent basis, based in Avonmouth.You'll be working within a friendly team who are very supportive, have a great sense of humour and pride themselves on the work culture they've created.

Start Date: Ideally ASAP

Duration: Temporary to permanent opportunity

Salary range DOE: £30,000

Working hours & Pattern - 37.5 hours a week, office based but ability to WFH when needed

You will use your skills to:

  • Responsible for all administering aspects of the Compliance Department's functionality
  • Ensuring compliance to current legislation relating to the receipt, warehousing and release of excise duty suspended goods
  • Liaising with HMRC, Customers, Border Force and relevant Authorities
  • Day to day responsibility of Bond Administration and monthly reports
  • Ensuring timely submission of Customs declarations
  • Maintenance of Discrepancy Logs
  • Checking all data is calculated and compliant
  • Investigation and Closure of Discrepancies
  • Maintenance of Exchange, VAT and Insurance Rates
  • Responsible for New Customer Setup & Maintenance
  • Prioritising, planning and organising activities to ensure deadlines are completed
  • Raising of purchase orders
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with ad-hoc requests

Skills/Experience needed:
