SAINT-Bangladesh is seeking a professional for the position of Finance and Admin Officer for the project: "Advancing Gender-Responsive Climate Actions for Urban Resilience in Barishal City Corporation." supported by "Climate Bridge Fund-CBF", Co-funded by KfW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau). The project will be implemented in Barishal City from January 2025. Note that this requirement will depend on the availability of donor fund.
The Finance and Admin Officer is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. This role involves budgeting, financial reporting, and supporting the financial health of the organization to ensure that all financial practices are transparent, efficient, and effective.
The Finance and Admin Officer will ensure that all project components are executed effectively, adhering to timelines and budgetary constraints while fostering strong relationships with local authorities, community leaders, and partner organizations. This role will also encompass monitoring and evaluating project outcomes on critical issues such as rights awareness, leadership, and climate resilience.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of gender issues, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record in project management. They will be committed to creating a positive impact in the lives of women fisher folk and addressing the challenges they face in their communities. This role involves coordinating with stakeholders, managing project staff, ensuring compliance with CBF/KfW and SAINT-Bangladesh's guidelines, and facilitating community engagement and capacity-building initiatives.
