Job description

Derbyshire Dales Primary Care Network Ltd (DDPCNLtd) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance and Administration Assistant to support its growing team. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role is key to ensuring smooth financial operations and providing high-quality administrative support to the PCN's leadership and member practices. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative network of GP practices working together to improve the health and wellbeing of local populations.

Main duties of the job
  1. Support day-to-day financial transactions including invoice processing, expenses, and purchase orders.
  2. Maintain accurate records of PCN income and expenditure, including ARRS, IIF, and DES funding streams.
  3. Assist with payroll processing by liaising with external payroll providers.
  4. Reconcile financial data and maintain spreadsheets to support cash flow and budget tracking.
  5. Prepare summary reports and assist with end-of-year accounts and audit preparations.
  6. Monitor expense claims and ensure policy compliance.
  7. Work with the Operations Manager and accountants to support accurate financial governance and reporting.
Administration Support
  1. Provide administrative support to the PCN team, including meeting coordination, agenda setting, and minute-taking.
  2. Support recruitment administration, including job adverts, shortlisting packs, and onboarding paperwork.
  3. Maintain accurate HR records, including contracts, training logs, and DBS documentation.
  4. Ensure digital and physical filing systems are up to date and GDPR compliant.
  5. Assist in the preparation of reports and submissions to the ICB, NHS England, and other stakeholders.
Communication & Collaboration
  1. Act as a point of contact for finance and admin-related queries from practices, suppliers, and external partners.
  2. Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and other PCN staff to support effective delivery of PCN services.
  3. Contribute to a positive and efficient working culture within the PCN.

DDPCN (Derbyshire Dales Primary Care Network) is located at Scholes Mill, Tansley near Matlock, supporting 7 GP practices in the beautiful Derbyshire Dales.

The successful applicant will join a respected PCN team with a one-team ethos, offering flexible part-time working on a permanent basis.
