Job Description:

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner – Retail Operations, this is a key analyst role supporting approximately 400 Halfords Retail Stores, the outsourced Customer Care team (over 400 staff), and their senior management teams.

The role involves financial analysis, reporting, and business partnering in two main areas: Store General and Customer Services. Responsibilities include:

• Creating store sales targets during annual budgets and monthly reforecasting to ensure realistic sales budgets and tight cost control.
• Developing insightful reports such as Weekly KPI Reports, Monthly Scorecards, and Bonus Trackers to support business performance improvements.
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders, helping set challenging yet achievable targets, and ensuring accountability.
• Managing budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, and tracking project OPEX/CAPEX costs.
• Analyzing store controllable costs, particularly store payroll, and communicating insights effectively to executive audiences.
• Collaborating with the Head of Customer Care to improve performance and reduce costs in the outsourced Customer Care operation.
• Supporting business initiatives through business case development and detailed analysis for strategic presentations.
• Reviewing weekly retail KPIs to identify areas of underperformance and provide actionable insights.
• Representing Finance within the Retail Operations team and contributing to stakeholder meetings.
