Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Finance Analyst for a leading international bank in the City of London. You will support financial reporting, reconciliations and control activities to ensure accurate accounting operations, preparing reports, monitoring budgets and maintaining robust financial controls across the business.

The role requires 2–4 years in financial services, advanced Excel skills, and a finance-related degree or pursuit of ACCA/ACA/CIMA.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' experience within financial services or a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience preparing financial reports, variance analysis and budget monitoring.
• Attention to detail, organisation and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily account reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
• Produce financial reports, supporting schedules and analysis.
• Monitor budgets and track variances against approved expenditure.
• Support daily accounting activities and month-end reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Assist the wider Finance team with reporting and operational queries.
• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve finance-related matters.
