Finance Analyst – Medical Support Services

Location: Bristol, UK

Leidos Europe is seeking a Finance Analyst to join the UK team based in Bristol. The role involves supporting Leidos Europe's largest contract with the UK MoD, focusing on procurement, storage, and distribution activities.

The position offers opportunities to work with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Programme Management, and Financial Planning & Analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary finance contact for month-end processes and support business areas with timely, accurate information.
• Support full planning cycle for product categories.
• Perform Estimates At Complete (EAC) in collaboration with the Medical Director.
• Extract data and prepare reports using PowerBI and Excel; assist with variance analysis.
• Support financial forecasting for Medical Services spend and own the forecast process.
• Evaluate Risks and Opportunities, supporting operational teams in mitigation strategies.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to support business strategy.
• Drive standardization and ensure compliance within the Finance Team.
• Develop performance metrics and management information for leadership.
• Respond to customer queries and audit requests, supporting external audits.
• Lead and mentor junior team members.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in an operations-facing finance role, acting as a Business Partner to senior leaders.
• Strong business (finance) acumen and communication skills.
• Proficient in IT, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Part-qualified accountant, aiming for professional qualification.
• Background in Accounting, Economics, Business, or Finance.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of MoD inventory accounting.
• Experience in Project Accounting or Controlling.
