Job description

What will you be doing?

We're looking for a commercial minded Finance Analyst to join our progressive Financial Performance team, supporting our business areas, during what is an exciting time to join a rapidly changing business and help shape its future direction. This is a fixed term contract to cover Maternity leave.

In this varied role, you'll be supporting, challenging, reviewing and interpreting the performance of our business.

You'll help forecast spend and provide analysis and performance insights to support the Senior Finance team and corresponding Business areas.

Identifying and analysing key business revenue and costs drivers, you'll also assist in the analysis and reporting of progress against strategic priorities. This will help enable you to support and challenge the business in driving performance.

You'll be involved in the production of post investment review and develop reports to highlight key learnings, agreed actions and emerging trends.

This is a hybrid role, which will see you working a mixture of at our Support Centre based in the heart of Lichfield, and the remainder of the time working from home.

How will I know if I am right for this role?

  • As a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant, you'll have the ability to work using your own initiative and demonstrate a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • You'll be experienced with budgeting and forecasting but have the enthusiasm and aspiration to grow your finance career.
  • You'll demonstrate strong commercial and financial acumen, understanding the key sales and profitability drivers.
  • You must be able to challenge current practice and processes.
  • Bringing your eye for detail, you'll always be looking to make improvements and do things better.
  • As well as being organised and able to deliver to deadlines, you'll have strong excel skills and experience in manipulating large data quantities with a track record in providing high quality insight and analysis.
  • As a person you will be confident with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to work collaboratively with colleagues across the business.
