Contract type: 12-month FTC
Location: Office based in London Television Centre. This is a hybrid role, and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping global finance transactional processes for Record to Report at BBC Studios.
You will be responsible for defining and enhancing financial processes, ensuring data accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. You will oversee master data maintenance, monitor process performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and standardization.
You will support the implementation of ICFR, deploying technical solutions, controls, and processes, and manage interactions with outsourcers as the key contact for third-party issues impacting local teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process standardization and governance to improve efficiency and compliance across R2R.
  • Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives, including system optimization and change management, acting as Product Owner for SAP Analytics Cloud dashboards.
  • Ensure audit and compliance standards are met, liaising with auditors and overseeing financial reporting controls.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, technology, and other departments to align processes with business needs.
  • Maintain process documentation, lead training initiatives, and manage Superuser teams.

Scope & Impact:

  • Based in London with oversight across EMEA, ANZ, Asia, and Americas, reporting to the Global Process Owner.
  • Monitor SLAs and KPIs with outsourcers to ensure service excellence.
  • Influence cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.

Key Relationships:

  • Partnerships with Head of Internal Controls, Director of Financial Operations, and Global Process Owners.
  • Engagement with Global Sales, Purchasing, Treasury, Tax, Operations & Technology teams.
  • Support for Britbox International, Indies, BBCS Production, UKTV, and SPVs as needed.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Knowledge of business and data analysis practices, tools, and techniques such as requirements engineering, process mapping, and business re-engineering.
  • Ability to simplify complex problems and explore them systematically.
  • Effective communication skills to influence senior stakeholders across multiple locations.
  • Experience with large ERP systems (SAP ECC6 / S/4 Hana and BPC) and their integration points.
  • Proven track record of implementing process standardization and global roll-outs.
  • Experience in global finance operations and outsourced functions.
  • Knowledge of controls and compliance in a global finance environment.
  • Change management skills and project/program management experience.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task across cross-functional teams.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  • Professional qualification or working towards (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, ICM or similar) is desirable.
  • Previous controls & ICFR experience is advantageous.
