We’re looking for a Finance Analyst to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You’ll support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, providing analysis that helps guide our business decisions.

Working closely with the Commercial teams, you’ll deliver financial insights through data analysis, modelling, and clear reporting to support strategic planning.

Who are you?
  • A background in reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • You are a commercially aware individual
  • Proficient in data interrogation, analysis, and presentation skills

  • A team player with exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with individuals at all organisational levels
  • Target-oriented and adept at working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Display a flexible and proactive attitude, demonstrating respect for confidentiality and the ability to challenge when appropriate
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with data interrogation and presentation tools such as Business Objects, Power BI, and Qlik isadvantageous
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate on the development of business planning processes to ensure alignment with Company objectives, profit targets, and key performance ratios
  • Assist in preparing and analysing business area plans while monitoring progress against targets
  • Analyse and compile business performance information for the UK and VBC, adhering to commercial and corporate requirements
  • Contribute to the monitoring and control of all aspects of Operating Capital
  • Support month-end financial close activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Participate in the Budget and forecasting process for Volvo Bus UK as needed
  • Aid in the development of systems to facilitate business performance measurement
  • Support internal audits to maintain procedural compliance
  • Provide input and assistance on projects as required
