Job summary

Moto is hiring a Finance Analyst to support the EV & Energy business from its Toddington hybrid setup (office plus home). You will work with the Senior Finance Manager to develop financial models, scenarios, and budgets that shape the company’s transition to cleaner energy.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified status or an intention to study towards ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Experience of Power Pivot or Power Query would be beneficial.
• Experience with, or an interest in learning, BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• A collaborative approach and confidence working with colleagues at different levels.
• The ability to prioritise and coordinate your workload.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Plenty of energy, curiosity and willingness to learn.

• Building long-term financial models for different strategic scenarios.
• Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting.
• Researching EV, power and energy market trends.
• Developing understanding of grid power, solar energy and customer charging behaviour.
• Preparing presentations, operational reports and investment appraisals.
• Supporting debt cashflow and covenant compliance modelling where required.
• Providing insight through ad hoc analysis.
• Building knowledge of key players and emerging trends in the EV and Energy markets.

Working alongside the Senior Finance Manager - EV & Energy, you'll help provide the insight, analysis and financial modelling that supports major investment decisions and long-term strategic planning. What you’ll be doing:

Working closely with the Senior Finance Manager and wider EV & Energy team, you’ll support a broad range of commercial finance activity, including:

• Supporting the EV & Energy business plan
• Exploring the financial impact of EV and Energy activity across the wider Moto business
• Building long-term financial models for different strategic scenarios
• Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting
• Researching EV, power and energy market trends
• Developing your understanding of grid power, solar energy and customer charging behaviour
• Preparing presentations, operational reports and investment appraisals
• Supporting debt cashflow and covenant compliance modelling where required
• Providing insight through ad hoc analysis
• Building your knowledge of key players, activity and emerging trends within the EV and Energy markets

What we’re looking for:

You’ll be a motivated and curious individual who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems and turning information into meaningful insight.
