Job Description

We are looking for passionate and driven Finance Analyst to work alongside programme teams and the wider Finance business partnering teams to ensure we are developing and prioritising investments at Heathrow to optimise the capital portfolio. In addition, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the long- and short-term capital planning and performance process.

We welcome applications from fully qualified accountants as well as those who are close to completing the qualification or qualified by experience, particularly if you bring a strong appetite for learning, continuous improvement, and a proactive mindset.

Your role will involve

• Supporting capital programmes on investment appraisal & financial assurance activities and assisting the wider finance team in tracking and managing project investment appraisal activities.
• Delivering analytical solutions and Business Intelligence tools such as reports and dashboards on Heathrow’s capital performance.
• Supporting portfolio/programme benefit analysis and reporting.
• Helping to manage the project pipeline, supporting programmes to identify potential projects and prioritising these against the Heathrow benefits framework.
• Owning the financial appraisal & assurance models.
• Supporting internal capital governance.

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent), finalist or qualified by experience with relevant expertise.
• A genuine passion for finance, process improvement, and making a meaningful impact through your work.
• Experience with Power BI reporting and data visualisation.
• Adept at providing business knowledge, analytical support, and clear presentation of financial and business information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Knowledge and experience of working in a similar role, ideally in complex commercial and regulated environments.

Working Location

Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow . Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
