Job summary

Aegon UK, the UK's largest investment platform, is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst in Witham. You will support financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis across the Commercial Finance team. This hybrid role requires in-office collaboration at least 40% of the time.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance function with strong financial reporting and analysis.
• Management accounting experience including month-end activities, journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
• Good understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet reporting and finance ledgers.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; ability to present financial information clearly.
• Studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA or equivalent finance qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting activities across the business.
• Analyse financial performance, including variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Produce and deliver accurate month-end reporting, ensuring deadlines are met and outputs support effective decision-making.
• Partner with business stakeholders and senior leaders to provide financial insight and challenge where required.
• Support the annual planning process and ongoing forecasting cycle, helping to drive financial performance and profitability.
• Complete key financial control activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and management reporting.
