Job summary

Quilter plc in Southampton is seeking an Analyst on a 17-month fixed-term contract to deliver high-quality financial analysis and monthly accounts reporting. You will engage with stakeholders across planning, forecasting, and cost base management while driving improvements in processes and controls.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Finance processes, governance, and supporting technologies.
  • Experience in an analytical Finance role within Financial Services; Big 4 audit experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Production of the monthly accounts for the review of the Business Partner.
  • Engagement with stakeholder(s) to manage the cost base and be involved in the planning and forecasting cycles.
  • Development and improvement of business/financial processes.
  • Collaborating with the wider finance team, to ensure financial reporting, systems, and processes are completed as per timetable and reflect the expense position correctly with commentary to aid understanding where appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships to share best practice and standards, and you will engage with the provision of information for external auditors.
  • Work closely with the Business Partner to provide high quality analysis, insight and decision support.

About the Role

Level: 4 Department: Finance Location: Southampton Contract Type: 17 Month FTC (Ending 31/12/2027) Non-Regulated

As an Analyst, you will be adept at the provision of a combination of soft skills, knowledge of business, system thinking, business analysis, change management techniques, awareness in business changes in the economic environment and technology. A key element of the role is providing high quality analytical insight to drive decision making.
