We’re looking for an Accounts Team Assistant to join our Finance team in Southampton. In this role, you’ll support the smooth running of our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Personal Expenses activities, helping to ensure payments, invoices and financial records are processed accurately and on time. You’ll work with a wide range of colleagues and external partners, handling financial queries, maintaining accurate records and supporting reconciliations and payment processes. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in finance while gaining exposure to a broad range of financial operations within a large financial services organisation.
Previous experience in an accounts, finance or administrative environment.
Experience using financial systems and supporting reconciliation activities.
Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality work.
Comfortable working with numbers and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
A logical and analytical approach, with the confidence to investigate queries and support the resolution of issues.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
A proactive mindset, strong willingness to learn and a genuine interest in developing a career within Finance.
