Job summary

SUEZ UK is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the EfW business plan by contributing to optimised operations and business development in line with the site’s financial strategy. Based at Cornwall Energy Recovery Centre, you will help deliver value through robust financial controls and continuous improvement.

You will track performance, assist in budgeting, and support decision-making with timely financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates must have at least 1-2 years of experience in cost control, accounting or financial planning.
• Experience analysing financial data and preparing financial reports.
• Proficiency with financial software or on-the-job training programs.

Responsibilities

• Track operational activities, costs and revenues in line with site plans.
• Raise purchase orders in COUPA and maintain stock reports.
• Register incoming invoices, log GRNs and tie to invoices and POs.
• Support management and decision-making processes for the site.
• Maintain and set up customer contracts within the weighbridge software system.

Salary: £32,937 - £38,636

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

About the role

You will be supporting delivery of the EFW business plan by contributing to optimised operations and business development in line with the site’s financial strategy whilst ensuring an ongoing continuous improvement culture.

What will I be doing?

• To track operational activities/costs/revenues in line with site business plans and actively engage in setting the plans
• Raise all order when requested on COUPA and maintain stock reports
• To register all incoming purchase invoices. Log all GRN's and tie to invoice and PO
• Support the overall process of management and decision-making for the site
• Maintenance and set up of customer contracts within the weighbridge software system

What are the requirements?

• Entry-level candidates must have at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, often gained through internships, part-time roles, or full-time roles in cost control, accounting or financial planning.
• Candidates should have experience in analysing financial data, preparing financial reports and budget development and will be expected to have proficiency in financial software, often gained through on-the-job experience or specialised training programs.
