Finance Analyst (Work and Family)
Job Title: Financial Analyst - FTC for 6 months
Type: Hybrid - Expectation to work from HO in Northampton each week
Hours: Full Time / 37.50 / Monday to Friday
Purpose of Role
As a Finance Analyst for the Work & Family area of the business, you will be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of our client contract revenue and billing, understanding and analysing the monthly client revenue fluctuations, and reporting the balances by client for both unbilled and deferred revenue. You will take part in ensuring the month end transactions are posted and will support other areas of the business with related queries.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Read client contract financial terms via signed legal agreements, record the data points into the ERP system, & ensure the revenue and billing is generating correctly.
Work closely with Client Relations and Legal on understanding and implementing contract terms for written and auto renewal agreements.
Ensure client revenue has reported correctly in the monthly P&L and be able to explain the fluctuations for reasonableness.
Adhere to monthly and quarterly deadlines as it pertains to posting transactions to the P&L and Balance Sheet.
Be able to evidence controls to management and Internal and External auditors.
Create and/or explain fluctuations on Balance sheet reconciliations for unbilled and deferred revenue.
Responsible For
Timely and accurate posting of accounting transactions
Completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations
Identification of risks and opportunities
Supporting with the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting where necessary
Perform ad-hoc analysis as required
Explain complex financial information to Non-Finance Staff and support them with finance-based queries
Collaborate and communicate with other Finance Departments
Support Finance Business partners with any queries
Work effectively with different parts of the organisation to achieve common goals
Keep up to date with organisational changes, financial regulations, and the marketplace
Respond appropriately to issues requiring confidentiality
Interact with Internal and External Auditors Experience Desirable
Experience in Month end Accounting
Experience in forecasting and budgeting
Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Qualifications
Part Qualified or Qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
Will consider QBE with relevant experience
