Finance Analyst

Based in Portsmouth, this forward-thinking organisation is looking to recruit a finance analyst to join the team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting time to join the business, and the role will be a mix of project accounting and FP&A and allow you a great opportunity to learn and develop.

What will the Finance Analyst role involve?

1. Lead on project accounting across the business including forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
2. Establishing financial controls and procedures for all contract cycles and projects.
3. Supporting the Programme Management Office with key project documents, including risk registers, milestone charts, and financial logs.
4. Assisting with pricing and costing as well as contract-related financial modelling.
5. Business partnering with key internal stakeholders presenting monthly updates.
6. Performing ad-hoc financial planning and analysis to support decision-making.

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Analyst vacancy:

1. ACA, ACCA and CIMA qualified.
2. Previous experience in a defence business or associated company.
3. Strong analytical skillset.
4. Previous experience in a project accounting role.
