Job Description

  • Cost Management: Identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing expenses.
  • Strategic Planning: Contributing to the organisation's long-term financial strategy and performance management
  • Strong data analysis skills to produce management information for the running of the organisation.
  • Implementation of KPIs and using qualitative and quantitative techniques to identify limiting factors and propose solutions to overcome them.
  • Technical knowledge of relevant costing to help make decisions for contracts, CAPEX and overheads.
  • Analysis of budget vs variances to understand and explain differences to management.
  • Planning and operational variances.
  • Divisional performance management and transfer pricing.
  • Ability to use ratio analysis to identify trends for comparison against industry trends.
  • Knowledge of Environmental cost accounting.

The Successful Applicant

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified OR Qualified by experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong IT skills and highly proficient with Microsoft Office tools - Advanced Excel
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical ability with a passion for numbers, problem-solving and demonstrate good attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment, delivering quality output while adhering to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
