Finance Analyst

Location: Artfarm Head Office

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 42.5 hours per week

Salary: Up to £53,000 depending on experience

As a Finance Analyst, you will work under the direction of our Business Controllers across Somerset and London. Your responsibilities include assisting with the month-end process, supporting budget and forecast reviews, and weekly reporting.

What you'll do

1. Assist Business Controllers with payroll processing, checks, and collaboration with the People Team. Maintain controls over all accounting transactions, focusing on sales, costs of sales, and staff expenses. Support ad hoc projects and analyses as required.
2. Handle debt collection and receipts reconciliation, including account reconciliations, weekly postings, and balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
3. Calculate and post sales, including VAT and tips (tronc). Manage and maintain the trial balance, prepayments, accruals, and schedules for accounts payable and receivable.
4. Be flexible and willing to travel to London and Somerset offices to promote teamwork and smooth information flow.
5. Liaise with the Events team to ensure timely invoicing and weekly deposit reconciliation. Issue or confirm sales invoices for completed stays/events.
6. Post journals to support the month-end process. Assist with month-end duties, budgeting, forecasting, and annual audits. Support the production of monthly management accounts.
