Financial Analyst - Manufacturing Group

Your newpanyHays Accountancy & Finance are partnering exclusively with a global Manufacturing Group to recruit a dynamic and experienced Financial Analyst to join their established team in Hereford, Herefordshire. This is an interesting permanent accounting role providing support to the Financial Controller in a range of duties, from managing capex, balance sheet processes, financial reporting to ensuring SOX compliance and external audits/statutory accounts are effectively run/prepared. This permanent financial analyst role is open to finance professionals who are part-qualified studying towards full qualification or qualified in CIMA/ACCA/ACA. Open to 1st time movers from practice or finance professionals looking to add value from industry.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve supporting the statutory audit process, partnering with external audit to ensure deadlines are met. Support the calculation and analysis to create and post journal entries for inventory, along with accruals and prepayments. You will perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, assist with the preparation of month-end and quarter-end closing to trial balance, and manage the capex process with financial reporting support. You will be involved in SOX compliance processes, involved in ad-hoc projects and duties to support business growth, along with supporting tax compliance processes for statutory accounting. You will raise manual payments and assist with complex banking processes, along with dealing with any ad-hoc financial queries from various divisions within the Group.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this interesting and fast-paced Financial Analyst role, you will need some experience in a similar position, ideally part-qualified/qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or studying towards full qualification with experience within financial systems, with strong MS Excel skills. You will be used to managing workloads to meet deadlines, have strong attention to detail, be comfortable working in a team environment, but also using your own initiative. You will have excellent communication skills to influence beyond just the finance function and partner with operational management across the business. You will be able to manipulate and report on data, along with being willing to learn and develop your skill set. Experience with SAP, ERP systems, and within a large manufacturing group would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This permanent Finance Analyst role offers a salary between £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, based in Hereford, Herefordshire.
