Job summary

McGregor Boyall in Derby currently seeks a Finance Analyst to join a leading global engineering and technology organisation on a 12-month contract. The role offers hybrid working in Derby and a day rate of £450 inside IR35 via umbrella.

The successful candidate will support accurate financial reporting, forecasting and period-end activities across the civil finance function, working with finance teams and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified finance professional with CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
• At least 3 years of finance experience.
• Experience in FX reporting and revaluation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder communication and Excel proficiency.
• Experience with SAP and HFM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly FX revaluation for the UK business.
• Produce FX reporting for auditors, Group Finance and key stakeholders.
• Prepare period-end journals covering operating costs, recharges and central accruals.
• Conduct balance sheet reviews, analysing movements and presenting findings.
• Support the Finance Control Team with financial queries and requests.
• Contribute to finance projects, investigations and process improvement initiatives.
• Deliver accurate, high-quality analysis within challenging deadlines.

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join a leading global engineering and technology organisation in Derby.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing Civil finance function, supporting accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting and period-end activities. You’ll work closely with finance teams and key stakeholders across the business, contributing to financial control, analysis and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly FX revaluation for the UK business.
