Job summary

Blue Light Card is expanding its FP&A capability with three Finance Analyst roles across Commercial, Growth, and Cost & Planning teams. These roles will build reporting from the ground up and shape how the company understands and drives its performance.

This Finance Analyst role sits in the FP&A Growth team, partnering with Brand & Comms, Product, Growth and Data to quantify the financial impact of engagement and renewal across revenue streams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in financial analysis with forecasting, budgeting, and reforecasting in a fast-moving commercial environment.
• Ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience across multiple data sources and familiarity with SQL is valuable.
• Advanced Excel skills including modelling, Power Query and macros.
• Strong data hygiene, definitions and documentation to ensure trust in outputs.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting and forecasting across growth revenue, blending financial and operational data for decision-ready forecasts.
• Own regular performance reporting across member engagement and growth revenue streams, define KPIs and narrate changes.
• Perform variance and driver analysis to identify root causes and recommend actions.
• Develop metrics capturing financial impact of member engagement across revenue streams.
• Partner with Brand & Comms, Product, Growth and Data teams to connect member behaviour to financial outcomes.
• Improve data quality and metric consistency across growth reporting.
• Support long-term forecast model including scenario and sensitivity analyses.
• Track ROI on growth investments and impact of engagement on revenue and profitability.

FP&A at Blue Light Card is in a genuinely exciting moment. We're building out our analyst capability for the first time, hiring three brand new Finance Analyst roles across our Commercial, Growth, and Cost & Planning teams as we scale our analytical depth to match BLC's continued growth. These aren't roles where you'll be picking up someone else's work — they're an opportunity to introduce new insights, build reporting from the ground up, and make a genuine mark on how BLC understands and drives its performance.

This Finance Analyst role sits within the FP&A Growth team, working alongside Brand & Comms, Product, Growth, and Data to help us understand the financial impact of how we engage, grow, and retain our member base. We're developing new metrics, deepening our understanding of member profiles, and building a clearer picture of renewal rates and engagement across different revenue streams.

This role is for someone who finds it genuinely interesting to connect member behaviour to financial outcomes. You'll help shape how BLC thinks about growth, bringing analytical depth to the decisions that influence where we invest and how we measure impact.

What You'll Do

• Support budgeting and forecasting across growth revenue, combining financial plans with operational performance data to produce accurate, decision‑ready forecasts in partnership with senior stakeholders
• Own regular performance reporting across member engagement and growth revenue streams, defining KPIs, automating recurring packs where possible, and creating clear narratives on what's changed and why
• Perform variance and driver analysis using system data (including member activity, renewal rates, and engagement metrics) to identify root causes and recommend actions
• Develop and refine metrics that capture the financial impact of member engagement across different revenue streams, helping the business understand what's driving growth
• Partner with Brand & Comms, Product, Growth and Data teams to provide timely, impactful insight that connects member behaviour to financial outcomes
• Contribute to improving data quality and metric consistency across growth reporting, aligning definitions and documenting assumptions so outputs are trusted across the business
• Support the long‑term forecast model, including scenario and sensitivity analysis to inform executive decision‑making
• Help track the ROI on growth investment decisions and the impact of member engagement activity on revenue and profitability

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience in financial analysis with a solid understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and reforecasting in a fast‑moving commercial environment
• Strong analytical capability, with experience turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insight and confident recommendations for non‑finance stakeholders
• Systems and BI literacy, with comfort working across multiple data sources and tools; familiarity with SQL is particularly valuable in this role
• Advanced Excel skills, including modelling, Power Query, and macros
• A strong data hygiene mindset, with attention to definitions, reconciliations, and documentation to ensure outputs are accurate and trusted
• Strong business partnering and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders outside of finance and present insight with clarity and confidence
• Part‑qualified or working towards a recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) would be a bonus, but is not essential
• Experience in a D2C, marketplace, or eCommerce environment would be a bonus, but is not essential
