Outcomes First Group in Bolton, UK, is seeking an experienced FP&A professional to join our expanding Finance team. You will support budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting, delivering insightful financial analysis to inform commercial decisions across the business.

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or working towards
  • Experience in FP&A, commercial finance, management accounting or finance business partnering
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes
  • Strong Excel skills, including modelling and large-data analysis
  • Good commercial awareness and ability to understand drivers of financial performance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Good attention to detail and high accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly FP&A reporting cycle, producing accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
  • Analyse financial performance, identifying key trends, variances, risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare regular management reporting, dashboards and supporting commentary.
  • Support the annual budgeting and rolling forecasting processes.
  • Work with stakeholders across the business to gather information and ensure forecasts and budgets are accurate and complete.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis and business planning.
  • Analyse financial and operational data and translate findings into clear, useful insight.
  • Investigate variances and provide analysis to help stakeholders understand business performance.
  • Support Finance Business Partners and the wider FP&A team with commercial analysis and ad-hoc requests.
  • Provide financial analysis to support projects, business cases and investment decisions.
  • Build effective working relationships across Finance and the wider business.
  • Support improvements to financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Work alongside Business Intelligence and Finance Systems colleagues to improve reporting, data quality and efficiency.
  • Contribute to the continued development of FP&A reporting and analysis.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced FP&A professional to join our growing team. Working as part of the FP&A team, you\'ll play an important role in supporting financial planning, performance reporting and commercial decision-making across the business. You\'ll work with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to provide accurate financial analysis and meaningful insight, supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles and helping stakeholders better understand business performance. This is a hands‑on analytical role offering exposure to a broad range of FP&A activity, with the opportunity to develop your commercial finance experience within a growing organisation.

You\'ll be an analytical and commercially minded finance professional with experience in FP&A, commercial finance, management accounting or finance business partnering. You\'ll be comfortable working with financial data, producing meaningful analysis and communicating your findings clearly to stakeholders. You\'ll have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or be working towards qualification.
  • Experience within FP&A, commercial finance, management accounting or finance business partnering.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
  • Strong Excel skills, including financial modelling and analysis of large data sets.
  • Good commercial awareness and an ability to understand the drivers behind financial performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience using Power BI or similar reporting and visualisation tools.
  • Experience working with ERP or finance systems.
  • Experience developing financial models or undertaking scenario analysis.
