Finance Analyst

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a global manufacturing business in Ayrshire to appoint a Finance Analyst - Supply Chain.

Role Purpose:

To leverage a broad set of accounting skills and experience to support both local and global reporting requirements, with a focus on working capital, supply chain costs, and forecasting. This role will deliver high-quality financial forecasting, analysis, and commentary, serving as the key finance contact for all supply chain-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the coordination and review of working capital reporting packs for internal and group reporting requirements.
2. Maintain and enhance financial modelling frameworks to support quarterly business forecasts.
3. Foster strong, collaborative relationships across the organisation to ensure accuracy.
4. Monitor and report supply chain performance against budget and forecast.
5. Deliver thorough reviews and analysis for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
6. Review cost variation reports to ensure accuracy and address purchase price variances monthly.
7. Produce detailed and insightful financial performance reports.
8. Manage large datasets efficiently, consolidating and presenting financial information using advanced IT tools.
9. Serve as the finance liaison with external stakeholders, including auditors, customers, and suppliers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

1. Relevant professional experience.
2. Part, QBE or qualified accountant.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Comfortable with large datasets, efficiently consolidating and presenting financial information.
5. Proven ability to drive process improvement using experience and insight.
6. Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
