Job description

My client is a leading Investment Management & Financial Planning firm based in Harrogate, providing sound Financial Advice and Wealth Management including Investments, Pensions, Retirement Planning.

We are urgently seeking a part-time (Mon – Fri 1pm – 5pm) Finance Administrator to assist with the smooth running of the cash department and its processes and to keep the Cash Manager up to date with any issues. You will specifically be responsible for:

On a Daily Basis:

1. Client Money Calculation
2. Check HSBC Net – allocate cash received
3. Auto Settlement
4. Market Maker Payments & Receipts
5. Income Payment Routine
6. Standing Order Routine
7. Setting up Standing Orders & Income Payments
8. Daily Payments BACS, CHAPS & Cheques
9. Posting POOL Cheques – Client & Transfers In
10. Posting ISA Cheques – Transfers In
11. Posting Commission Cheques/BACS
12. Posting Adhoc Fees
13. Re-Credit Fees
14. Posting CFPL Adhoc Fees
15. Cancelling Cheques
16. Processing Tax / Probate Invoices
17. Dividend Processing
18. Crest Cash Dividends
19. ISA Subscriptions / Withdrawals
20. Posting Events
21. Banking
22. Ad-Hoc Cash Statements
23. End of Day Procedure: Check RQQ1 / RQQ, Negative Balances Movement, Redmayne Bentley Check, Daily Commission Transfer

On a Monthly Basis:

1. 1st Month Standing Order & Income Payments
2. Chase outstanding dividends
3. Review client debtors list – Probates and Tax
4. Petty Cash Rec and postings

We are seeking those who have worked ideally within the Financial Services industry, it would be ideal if you have worked within Financial Planning / Financial Advice sector previously. You MUST have previous experience of payment processing & transfers or within General Finance; if you have any experience with Banking platforms such as HSBC.net or Barclays.net that would be to your advantage. It would also be to your advantage if you have any specific Finance qualifications.
