We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join the finance team and play a key role in supporting essential business functions. This is a hands-on role with responsibilities ranging from timesheet and payroll reporting to compliance, systems improvement, and broader finance support.
Full Time – Permanent
Key Responsibilities
Full administration of the timekeeping system (Deputy), including ongoing improvements
Weekly and monthly timesheet analysis to support payroll and labour reporting
Pension admin and point-of-contact for employee pension queries
Maintain and update the accounting system (e.g., foreign exchange rates, journals)
Assist with project forecasting and reporting
Contribute to monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis
Support accounts payable/receivable and bank payment processing
Take part in systems/process improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with GDPR, company policies, and quality management standards
May assist with or lead internal audits
Essential Skills & Experience:
GCSEs including Maths (A–C / 4–7)
Experience in finance or admin functions in a business setting
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage 200)
Good understanding of finance standards and regulations
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Team-oriented with a proactive, can-do attitude
Desirable:
Finance qualifications
Background in project-led or technical sectors
Additional Information:
Based on the Isle of Wight with weekly travel to a mainland office
Occasional international travel may be required
