Position: Administrator

Location: Burgess Hill

Salary: Up to £26,000

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

About the Role

Our client, an award-winning manufacturing business, is seeking an Administrator to support their team. The main responsibilities include providing administrative support to the Financial Controller and assisting with various administrative tasks across the company. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, proficient in IT, and quick to learn new systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as the first point of contact at reception, greeting visitors and recording details of customers and suppliers.
  2. Manage daily staffing and attendance records for fire and evacuation procedures.
  3. Handle inbound non-sales inquiries.
  4. Organize travel arrangements for management and directors.
  5. Manage diaries for the CEO, MD, and FD.
  6. Assist with meeting administration, including note-taking and distribution of notes and action points.
  7. Attend board meetings to record minutes and follow up on actions.
  8. Administer expense claims and process invoices and supplier payments (training provided).
  9. Manage credit control activities, including liaising with clients, allocating payments, and issuing statements.
  10. Oversee petty cash and credit card expense recordings.
  11. File, scan, and archive financial and HR documents.
  12. Perform general office administration duties as required.
  13. Order stationery and supplies as needed.
Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will have solid administrative experience, with some exposure to finance functions being highly desirable. Excellent IT skills, systems knowledge, and strong communication abilities are essential. This role suits someone with experience as a finance assistant, accounts administrator, or team administrator.
